GameOutreach alternatives for indie game developers (2026)

Last updated: October 4, 2026

Competitor details current as of October 2026. Verify on the vendor's site before making purchasing decisions.

GameOutreach (gameoutreach.co) was the closest direct competitor to CreatorScout: both are outbound tools that start from a comparable Steam game and find the YouTube channels that already covered it. As of 20 July 2026, GameOutreach is closed to new accounts. Existing users can still open the searches and exports already in their account, but nobody can buy new searches. If you were planning to use it, or you used it before and need your next list, here is a factual look at the options that are still open to indie devs in 2026.

The tools, compared

  1. 01

    GameOutreach (closed to new accounts)

Outbound, YouTube-focused discovery tool: pick a game similar to yours and it showed every YouTube channel that covered it, with emails and a CSV export unlocked by buying a search. It is closed to new accounts as of 20 July 2026; existing users can still use the searches and exports already in their account but cannot purchase new searches.

Best for Existing GameOutreach users with searches left in their account. New users cannot sign up.

  2. 02

    CreatorScout

Outbound discovery across both YouTube and Twitch, relevance-ranked by comparable game, with a built-in CRM pipeline (To contact → Key sent → Key viewed → Replied → Covered), Steam-key tracking, per-creator notes, an outreach timeline, and CSV export. CreatorScout has a free plan; Pro is €5/month, with a 14-day Pro trial.

Best for Devs who want the same start-from-a-comparable-game workflow, with Twitch as well as YouTube and the whole outreach pipeline in one place rather than a spreadsheet.

  3. 03

    Keymailer

Inbound key-request marketplace with 60,000 opted-in influencers; creators link their channel, browse campaigns and request games. Publishers can get started free. It is a passive channel rather than an outbound search tool, so it complements an outbound tool rather than replacing one.

Best for Devs who also want a passive inbound channel running alongside their outbound search.

  4. 04

    Lurkit

Creator-marketing platform with 90k+ verified creators, key campaigns and performance-based Paid Quests; plans are contact-for-pricing, with up to a 70% discount for indie devs who apply. It is campaign-focused rather than one-to-one outbound.

Best for Devs with campaign budget who want broad paid reach in addition to targeted outbound outreach.

When another tool is the better fit

If you already have a GameOutreach account with searches left, use them: its own notice says existing users keep access to the searches and exports already in their account. What you cannot do any more is sign up or buy new searches, so for your next list you need one of the open tools. If you only want a YouTube channel list and are happy to work it in a spreadsheet, keep the export you have and add an inbound channel like Keymailer. CreatorScout is the better fit when you want a fresh search, Twitch creators as well, and a managed pipeline instead of a static export.

Frequently asked questions

Is GameOutreach still available?

Not for new users. GameOutreach's homepage says it is closed to new accounts as of 20 July 2026. Existing users can access the searches and exports already in their account but cannot purchase new searches. It gives no date for existing accounts to close.

What was the main difference between GameOutreach and CreatorScout?

Both start from a comparable Steam game and find creators who covered it. GameOutreach returned YouTube channels with emails and a CSV export for manual outreach. CreatorScout covers YouTube and Twitch and adds a built-in outreach CRM (status pipeline, Steam-key tracking, notes, and timeline) on top of discovery.

Did GameOutreach cover Twitch?

Its own guide describes finding YouTube channels only ("every YouTube channel that covered it") and does not mention Twitch. CreatorScout searches both YouTube and Twitch.

Does GameOutreach include a CRM or outreach pipeline?

No. Its own guide recommends a spreadsheet with one row per channel and a Status column (to email, emailed, replied, made video, declined). CreatorScout includes a five-stage CRM pipeline (To contact → Key sent → Key viewed → Replied → Covered) with Steam-key tracking and outreach history.
